Konami has pulled some Metal Gear Solid games from the digital

Konami is removing a few slot Metal Gear Solid titles from its storefront and digital platforms due to licensing issues. Unless you can find a copy of them, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will no longer be available for purchase. The publisher said In addition to individual games, Konami is pulling a bundle that includes both games.

The move affects the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation Now, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, GOG, and NVIDIA Shield (most of them are not the most up-to-date platforms). It's unclear when MGS2 and MGS3 will return. At the store, or will Konami keep such images?

This isn't the first time licensing issues have affected the game long after its release. Alan Wake has been missing from the storefront for some time after Remedy's rights to some of the songs on the soundtrack were exhausted. Meanwhile, Rockstar Games has removed music from several Grand Theft Auto games over the years for the same reason.
