  The anti-blocking feature is now officially available in the WhatsApp application . Now we no longer need to use WA MOD to run the anti-blocking feature. Through its official blog, WhatsApp explains that they now have a " Connecting to WhatsApp by Proxy " feature.

  The WhatsApp by Proxy feature allows users to still be able to use WhatsApp through a proxy even though their internet access is restricted, for example limited by the government.

  "Selecting a proxy allows you to connect to WhatsApp through servers set up by volunteers and organizations around the world, dedicated to helping people communicate freely," wrote WhatsApp on their official website.

  Cases such as restrictions on the use of WhatsApp in Iran are one of the reasons WhatsApp released this feature.

  "Disruption like the one we have seen in Iran for months ultimately denies human rights and deprives people of urgent assistance," WhatsApp said.

  How to use WhatsApp by Proxy
  We can find the WhatsApp by Proxy option in the settings menu. Of course, we have to update our application first before we can access it. If it's already updated , all you have to do is follow these steps:

  If you're on Android:
  On the Chats tab, tap More options > Settings.
  Tap Storage and Data > Proxy.
  Tap Use Proxy.
  Tap Set Proxy and enter the proxy address.
  Tap Save.
  A tick will appear if the connection is successful.
  If you still can't send or receive WhatsApp messages using a proxy, the proxy may have been blocked. You can long press a blocked proxy address to remove it, then enter a new proxy address to try again.
  If you're on iOS:
  Go to WhatsApp Settings.
  Tap Storage and Data > Proxy.
  Tap Use Proxy.
  Enter the proxy address and tap Save to connect.
  A tick will appear if the connection is successful.
  If you still can't send or receive WhatsApp messages using a proxy, the proxy may have been blocked. Try again using a different proxy address.
